British Columbia
Suggested Itinerary for Client and Guests

Day 1:

Meet your yacht in Vancouver’s green Stanley Park and tour the nearby aquarium. One of the greatest cities on the Pacific Rim, Vancouver has many elegant galleries, shops and restaurants worth visiting.

Day 2:

Head north to Pender Harbour, called the Venice of the North. This complex maze of inlets, islands and coves is a popular scuba destination. Numerous nearby freshwater streams and lakes make fishing tempting while those who enjoy more active sports may want to launch the kayaks.

Day 3:

You can’t cruise British Columbia without traveling up Princess Louisa inlet to view Chatterbox Falls. This incredible inlet is now a nature preserve. Its dramatic scenery is fjord-like and the falls are spectacular.

Day 4:

Enroute to Desolation Sound Marine Park, make a stop at Powell River, the largest town on Canada’s Sunshine Coast. Shop for locally made crafts in this comfortable frontier town where wildlife abounds.

Days 5 & 6:

Desolation Sound is the largest and best-known marine park in BC. It features the warmest saltwater north of Mexico. Hunting oysters, clams, prawns and salmon makes for an enjoyable day. There are so many anchorages; it is hard to choose – perhaps Pendrell Sound, where hiking trails lead to a freshwater beaver lake. Prideaux Haven is a must. The snow-capped peaks of the Coast Mountain soar from the tide line to 4,575 feet.

Day 7:

Heading south, it’s a pleasant run down Discovery Passage to Campbell River on the East Coast of Vancouver Island. This river is the salmon capital of the Northwest and the fish bring plenty of bears and eagles. Extend your stay at Painter’s Lodge, site of a soothing new Aveda Spa, or neighboring April Point Resort. Direct flights link Campbell River to Seattle.
